Does Sol Glow say tanning is safe?
No. UV exposure is the body's response to skin damage, so we never use phrases like "safe tanning." Sol Glow gives estimates and a dose budget that stays under your personalized burn-risk threshold, and recommends shade or protect-only mode when UV is high. It's guidance, not medical advice.
How does it know how long I should tan?
It combines live UV index and weather for your location with your skin profile, SPF, water resistance, goal, and your feedback from past sessions to estimate a sub-burn dose budget — then turns that into front/back/side timing.
Which devices are supported?
Sol Glow is built for iPhone, with Home Screen widgets, Lock Screen widgets, and Dynamic Island Live Activities. It's currently in TestFlight beta.
What's free vs. Glow Up?
The core plan — UV context, basic timing, reminders, feedback, and calendar history — is free. Glow Up adds skin tuning, goal presets, product-aware SPF timing, learning adjustments, widgets, friend sessions, and advanced insights.
Does it work on cloudy days or indoors?
Yes. Sol Glow factors cloud cover into the plan, and on low-UV days it guides gentler sessions. It's designed around real outdoor sun, so it won't recommend tanning beds.
